Meet Laura Ash, an insurance professional for over 35 years. Laura began her insurance career with Indiana Insurance Company in 1986 as a commercial line rating specialist. After about three years in the company space, she redirected her focus to the agency side. She worked at Ameriana Insurance Agency in New Castle, Indiana as an Agent for twenty-five years. She was a farm and commercial agent as well as did most of all the farm and commercial quoting throughout the agency. She also helped in the accounting department. After a brief employment with State Farm, she began her career with McGowan Insurance Group as a hybrid role at the agency. She is now a full-time agent with years of experience.
Laura received her associates degree at the University of Indianapolis in business administration and accounting. Her many years in the agency space has lead her to a 35+ year career in the Insurance industry. She is eager to help guide her valued customers in the right direction and is dedicated to her role at the McGowan Insurance Group Agency.
Outside of work, Laura is involved with the Rush County Community Foundation, currently serving on the board as vice-president. She also serves on the finance committee, grants committee and the scholarship committee. She is also involved with the Rushville Kiwanis Chapter. She also volunteers at the St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Rushville and is a supporter of the Rushville Boy’s and Girls Club. Laura is a life-long resident of Rush County. She and her husband Rob have raised their three daughters, Katelyn (Indianapolis), Kelsi (Rushville) and Kourtney (Rushville) in Rush County along with their blonde lab, Krosby. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, working at their home and spoiling their grand-dog / Knox and grand-cat / Kolby.
